So its been a while since I’ve posted…

I’ve been thinking of a way to rebrand and make my blog more suited to my current lifestyle and have decided to take the route of travelling, fashion and nursing related content.

So here goes a little travel diary about one of my favourite places to visit.

Screen Shot 2018-08-20 at 13.07.16

Fanø is a little island about a 5 minute ferry away from Esbjerg located in the North Sea off the coast of southern Denmark.

It has to be one of the most peaceful places I have been to so far in my life.

The beaches are sandy with clear water making it the perfect place to relax and detox from any of the crap we have in our life. One of my favourite things to do here is just walk along the beach whilst listening to a relaxed playlist (yes i know what that sounds like). But honestly it does wonders for your mental health.

Screen Shot 2018-08-20 at 13.16.38

Being half Danish I am able to speak a little, however over on fanø most of the locals speak German which i seem to struggle with quite a bit! Along the coast of fanø you can (sometimes) find amber which is known to danish people as Rav. This is known as danish gold. It is formed over thousands of years originating from tree sap (resin) and is often used in jewellery.

Screen Shot 2018-08-21 at 15.01.05

Another great part of fanø would have to be the sand dunes and all the animals that habit this environment. It ranges hugely from little rabbits to beautiful bambi. Watching the sunset whilst being surrounded by these animals really just adds to the beauty of this little island. The sand dunes are also perfect for sunbathing because in the summer the weather can be stunning and so so hot! Most times I have visited the weather has been perfect for the beach.

Screen Shot 2018-08-21 at 15.09.27

listed below are just a few of the things you can do whilst over here on fanø:

  • Mini-golf
  • Blokarting
  • Kitesurfing/kiteflying
  • Tasting the local ice-cream and pancake houses (honestly you have to try them!)
  • Tasting the local beers and wines
  • Many many crazy mini golfing
  • Adventuring around the island including seal watching
  • Shopping!!

I hope you enjoyed this little welcoming back post. Sorry its been so long but sometimes life just catches up ey?

A Little Life Update…

Right so its safe to say its been a while since I last posted…

Apologies for that! But ya know when life gets busy ya can’t do it all.

So the main reason for me being away for a bit was 1 I was studying for one heck of a whopper exam, which is now over THANK GOD. Lets just hope I passed it! And 2 just because I didn’t really feel as if I had a whole lot to write about.

Screen Shot 2018-04-01 at 16.01.55

So I thought I would do a lil life update in this and just let you know whats been going on recently.

1 – Unfortunately Millie our new baby bunny passed away just 10 days after having her which was unfortunate as the day I had posted a post about the new bunnies she passed. We don’t fully know the reasons as to why she died, but the Vets suggested it was either a septic infection or possibly something she was born with because she was so young. So that sucked.

2 – Ive been working on myself a lot lately and its not easy figuring out who you are but I’m on the road to it. I really want to get more into photography, i know what you’re thinking she says this all the damn time blah blah blah. But honestly I do. I love taking photos. They can capture a memory in one image and thats why I love photos. Ive recently started a scrapbook for a whole load of memories of my own. Ive made scrapbooks for other people, but I don’t think they seemed to enjoy them as much as I did. So this is for myself.

3 – I think Im starting to see where life is taking me. I know it sounds so cringe, but I really think I can see where I want to be in 5 years time from now. Thats hopefully becoming a qualified nurse working in A&E working my way up the ladder. Possibly living in Brighton as the place is so fun and vibrant and I need that in life. I also need the beach and sea near me. Lil fact if you didn’t know this about me I love the ocean basically your average English Moana (without the chicken or boar…).

4 – Im super happy with my Youtube content and the fact that Ive started doing covers on there. Although being completely honest sometimes I do think life would be very different If i hadn’t started Youtube. It does get stressful and I know what you’re thinking “What is she on about?”. But in all honesty a lot of the time I think people are judging me and I am starting to not give a damn about others opinions (within reason of course) but it does get to me sometimes. Never the less I am continuing with my youtube as for the moment.

Anyway there hasn’t been a huge amount going on but enough for a quick lil blog post. I hope you enjoyed it and are having a good day!

ALIZA cleanser product review…

So hello world!

Its been a little while haha!

I thought id kick off my return with a quick product review. I was sent this product very kindly by the company ALIZA. I received their 3 in 1 facial cleanser. It includes 50 face cleansing paper sheets.

Screen Shot 2018-02-28 at 18.09.50

I tried this product a few times and am still confused as to whether I love it or not… It is a great gentle cleanser but I just can’t seem to get the hand of using it! The face sheets are suppose to melt with warm water as you rub them on your face, but I either didn’t add enough water or added too much. For me the product was a little fiddly to use but when i managed to get used to it, its honestly a great cleanser.

However even though it was a little tricky to use its such a great product for so many reasons! Its free from artificial fragrances, colours, gluten and alcohol. When you using it  my face did feel hydrated and moisturised leaving it soft and clean.

Hope you all enjoyed this quick review!

Sky Gardens London

So heres to another London post.

I went up to London to celebrate one of my friends 21st birthday! This included the visit to Pizza Union, Sky Gardens and then drinks and dinner in Southgate at Giraffe.

The weather in London on the day wasn’t great and was pretty much your typical British weather, dreary and wet. But we still made the most of it!

The sky garden is located in the nicknamed building – Walky talky, because it really does look like one!

Looking around the 34 storey building was amazing! It had such a ambient atmosphere! There were drinks and cakes you could purchase I shared a hot chocolate and slice of cheesecake with my sister, but I could have had one to myself it was so yummy! However the prices were a little much, but what can you expect its London?!?

Once we got to the top the views were amazing! If only the weather had been better and we could have gone outside onto the balcony of the building! But the views of the flowers and just the atmosphere was amazing, so of course I took this as a photography opportunity! And Im really happy with the way some of these came out!

The place is really nice to just walk around and the best thing is its FREE! It is best to book your visiting time as they require this especially for the busy times, but you still aren’t required to pay anything

You come up through the lift and you’re welcomed by the hostess’s who point you in the direction of the food and drink of course! You can walk around up the stairs and downstairs viewing the whole of London (pretty much). I just wish the weather had been better because honestly with these views who wouldn’t wanna go up there especially for free!

But that is pretty much it! I hope you enjoyed the photos and let me know if you’ve been there to or if you plan on going now!

Stay happy and be yourself,

Pizza Union – London

So having recently spent the day in London I was able to venture around and went to this amazing pizza place just outside of Kings Cross in London.

Pizza Union has such a relaxed and quirky style. There are long tables with stalls and sort of reminds me of Waga-Mama with the layout.

There were also a million neon signs like the lion below, which I just love and if you know mw you’ll know I love pretty much anything bright/neon!

Me and my sister shared a pizza as it was for lunch (But i definitely could have eaten a whole one!). They were extremely delicious! We shared the Calabria, this had a tomato sauce as the base topped with mozzarella, mascarpone, Nduja Spicy Sausage and finally rocket. The pizza was only £5.95, which was such good value for money!

There are 4 Pizza Unions:

These are all located in London and if you’re heading up there looking for a place for lunch or dinner I would definitely recommend them!

I really want to try and do more food reviews on my blog so if you guys have any places you’d recommend please let me know in the comments and who knows I may just go and  give it a go. Because lets be honest I LOVE FOOD!

Stay happy and be yourself,

Marc Jacobs New Highliners – Review

Screen Shot 2018-01-13 at 13.53.53

I’ve had a little break from my blog just because sometimes you need it!

This blog post is a makeup review/first impressions all about the new Marc Jacobs new Highliners! I was sent 2 of the new Highliners from Influenster which was amazing!

I have tested them and created a look with them! The colours that I received were the (Pop)ular and Pink of me. These were both 2 intense pink Highliners and are super pigmented!

Screen Shot 2018-01-13 at 13.54.32

I have used these in my new YouTube Valentine’s Day tutorial which you should totally go and check out!

Anyway, these Highliners can be purchased for £20 each and I’m so lucky to have had the chance to review them and try them out! They are honestly worth the money for a creamy eyeliner which has the most amazing pigment! Did I mention that they stay on all day too? It’s crazy how you can find such a good beauty product at the most random time!

My favourite colour out of the two would be pink of me just because it is a lighter colour which is more suited to my skin tone and I just like baby pink colours too much!

Hope you enjoyed this post review guys and there will be more posts coming soon!!

Stay happy and be yourself!

A Broken Heart…

Hey guys,

So you may ultimately be thinking of why I am posting this and honestly this has been such a hard post to write.

Screen Shot 2018-01-21 at 22.50.02

Recently having broken up from my (ex) boyfriend I have learnt a lot about myself including things I didn’t know before. I found it extremely difficult to deal with this breakup as it was my first, so I’m not gonna be petty and blame people on here and say exactly why we broke up but I thought this post may help some people who are either going through this or if you know someone who is.

Screen Shot 2018-01-21 at 22.51.02

One thing that I’ve learnt is vital is to rekindle hobbies that you love. For example with me I’ve kept going with my YouTube channel, restarted my passion for music and getting into photography more. All these photos on here have been taken by me and I’m really pleased with my progress in photography!

Screen Shot 2018-01-21 at 22.52.06

Another thing that I found really difficult was learning was being happy by myself. Which I do feel like I am, and I’m proud to say that! Some people can find it really difficult being happy by themselves especially if they’ve been reliant on other people for it!

Screen Shot 2018-01-21 at 22.52.51

Another thing to mention is that being alone isn’t a bad thing. Sometimes it’s just what you need. I know at the start of a breakup (for me anyway) it felt like the worst possible thing that had happened and I was never going to be happy by myself. But honestly it just takes time. Time can heal almost anything. With the situation I was in also really knocked my self confidence and my self worth. This is another thing I have had to learn and it probably one of the most important things to learn. If you can’t be happy by yourself/ love yourself how do you expect that with another person?

Screen Shot 2018-01-21 at 22.55.16So this post was a sort of life update and helpful (hopefully) post in a way.  But to lighten the mood before I end this post I wanted to end it saying 5 things that have happened which are amazing and I am super pleased with myself about!

1 – I hit 1K on Youtube and Im almost at 1.2 K so if you haven’t subscribed go and do so please it means so much to me!!

2 – I got into a danish exchange for my nursing degree which is coming up soon!

3 – I started running more and properly in order to prep for my half, so I completed my first 10 mile run the other day!

4 – Ive improved on my photography skills ( i think haha!)

5 – Im okay and Im happy with myself and the life Im living.

Stay happy

2018 Goals And 2017 Reflections…

So we made it? 2018. And I just felt like I was getting used to 2017. Last year I did this post so I thought we could see If I actually took my own advice (probably not) and lets see how 2017 actually turned out. Then I can let you all know my new goals for 2018.

So in 2017 I set out these goals:

  1.  To be healthier and happier
  2. To work hard
  3. Be helpful and kind
  4. Get fit
  5. Take things slowly and appreciate life more

So looking back at my goals I don’t think I did too badly. I mean I haven’t been the healthiest ever but I’ve not been the unhealthiest… maybe this is gonna be a goal for 2018 instead! I worked hard and managed to get through my 1st year of Nursing at University, which I am super proud of because doing this course isn’t just mentally draining it also gets physically draining as doing 12.5 hour shifts 3 times a week almost leads you to have no social life which is why a lot of people go to University to start with, the social aspect. But I do it because I do love the job and it is so rewarding.  Being helpful and kind goes into my job as a HCA and as a Nursing student. Now the get fit part… hmmm well I mean I’ve become better at running and ran my first 8 miles by myself the other week so I am very pleased with my progress in running, but I am yet to have formed abs… I have however taken things a lot slower this year and even though 2017 still went extremely fast I have so many amazing memories of the year! Here are just a few of the most amazing things I got to do this year!

Screen Shot 2017-12-31 at 13.25.04

January – I joined the gym and worked really hard (for the first month…).

February – I went brunette, which I haven’t been for ages, about 3 years!!

March –  I had an amazing learning opportunity working with the community nurses who do so much!

April – I started my Youtube Channel! And also changed my hair again I wasn’t keen on the brown!

May – I started to run again!

June – I turned 19, whoop another year older!

July – I completed the end of my first year as a student Nurse!

August – I went to Venice for a wedding which was amazing!

September – I started my second year of nursing off with a bang!

October – Im super proud of all the halloween looks I created on my Youtube channel!

November – Bit of a sad one, but as this was a tough month for me getting through the month and days was an achievement in itself and Im proud to say Im still here!

December – I had the sweetest christmas with my family, my bunny made it through Christmas day but unfortunately did not make it through to the new year. RIP Ellie 29/12/17.

Screen Shot 2017-12-31 at 13.27.29

So in order to start a fresh for the new year creating goals is a good way to be the new you.

So like last years post on my previous blog to here on WordPress, Im creating 5 goals for myself to try and achieve and maintain throughout 2018.

  1. I would love to feel more confident in my own skin and be happy with myself. I know this is similar to one of my goals last year but still It Is something I have always struggled with so would like to really try.
  2. Eat more natural and unprocessed foods. I know this one is stemming along the line of food and health much like last year, but instead of forcing myself to only eat a certain amount of calories each day eating a healthier range of foods tends to uplift my mood and so this is why it is yet another goal of mine as this should help me more with my anxiety that I have been struggling with. If I am able to control something It calms me down so the food I intake and really looking after my body and the nutrients that I put in will hopefully help with that.
  3. Improve on my running and keep going with it. With me running the Half Marathon in February I will still be running throughout till then, but I would love to continue running and perhaps even be able to complete a whole Marathon one day.
  4. Get to grips with my anxiety. This may seem a little personal but having struggled a lot lately Ive had to kick my butt into action and say enough is enough. Im fed up with being so anxious all the time and just want to be able to do things that sometimes I don’t have the confidence to do. We only get one life and I don’t want to be stuck behind just because Im too afraid or because I feel like I’m not good enough. I think by exercising and eating well I can hopefully manage this better, I would also like to try mindfulness as this has proven to help a lot of people like me too.
  5. Take every opportunity I can get. So at the age of 19 I still want to live my life to the fullest and of course sometimes I have my set backs and struggle on a normal day. So with life steaming along so fast I need to try everything I want to while I still can and live everyday like its my last. I know it may sound slightly morbid to some of you, but with the job Im in and what Im studying It really does make you feel like you need to live your life and be as happy as you can whilst you can do it! Because in life there are good moments and bad moments, whenever my time comes to go I would want to look back at my life and be happy with what I have achieved no matter what age I may be.

Screen Shot 2017-12-31 at 13.25.53

I realise this has been a long post, but I hope that you all have had the most wonderful new year and celebrated it with a bang! Here’s to 2018!

Stay happy and be yourself,

Some Good And Some Not So Good… Getting Through The Tough Days.

Hiya guys,

Firstly want to start off by saying I hope you’re all okay and are enjoying December so far! With christmas almost upon us I was slightly reluctant to write this post as I didn’t want to write any negative posts to keep up the christmas cheer.

So I kinda just wanted to have a little chat, as this is my little spot on the internet meaning I can’t write about anything I wish (obviously within reason haha!). But if you read my blog regularly in my ‘Red Puffa’ post a few weeks back you may have noticed that some crappy things have been happening in my life at the moment and I am still not ready to talk about what it is as such but I thought I would do a little post on how to get through some of the tough days life presents us with.

Right so first thing is first, I am in no way perfect and this doesn’t always work for me, but when it does honestly my head clears so much and  I can get on with my day so much betterScreen Shot 2017-12-15 at 20.56.06

1 – Surround yourself with amazing people…

So this is such a key thing. Being around friends and family who support you and listen to you is the most vital thing. I know some people who don’t speak to anyone about anything. But honestly talking to people helps. It doesn’t make you feel so alone in whatever you are struggling with! Plus if they really are your friends they will be there for you no matter what!

2 – Its okay to cry…

This one might be a bit much for people to handle, but we are all human so crying is just an emotion that we all go through and shouldn’t be ashamed of! I think once you realise that you don’t have to hold back your feelings and that crying is normal, by letting it out you actually feel better!

3 – Keep distracted…

People keep busy in different ways, but you just have to do whatever makes you happy and be selfish. Because at the end of the day if you’re  happy and doing things you love life is so much better! Just take the time for yourself to discover what makes you happy! For me its music so currently I’m getting back into music, my blog and my youtube! But for some others it might be going out with friends and things like that!

4 – Keep a journal…

So this is something Ive only recently started, but oh my has this helped me. Its a way of writing down all your thoughts and feelings without worrying if anyone will see them. Its completely your own space. For instance if you hate talking to people about certain things it can be your route to escape and talk about your feelings and write them down in a journal/diary. This actually really helps release any feelings that have been bottled up and I would recommend this to anyone going through any tough times or even on just the bad days, but don’t forget to write the good things as well! Someone once told me that for everything negative you should write something positive, which is a great way to think and keep you going on those rubbish days!

5 – Just be yourself…

This one may be a little broad, but my oh my is this an important one. If you can’t enjoy yourself then will you ever truly be happy those are my thoughts anyway. People who love you will except you for who you are and will love you for the way you are. The song ‘Just the way you are’ by Bruno Mars comes into mind in this point and it is so important!  Do not be afraid to be yourself EVER! Just do what you enjoy and be kind. Always be kind to others and treat them the way you would want to be treat.

Screen Shot 2017-12-15 at 21.00.31

So to summarise this little post, just think about all the other good things in your life and don’t always focus on the negatives. And believe me I know this is a lot harder said than done and we have all been there. Breakdowns are nothing to be ashamed of and we all learn from them! Don’t be afraid to ask for help there are so many people that care about you and want you to be happy! And finally remember that they are NOT ALL BAD DAYS! We all have crappy days when we don’t think there is any point in things anymore, but what you need to remember is that the good days are there too!

Screen Shot 2017-12-15 at 20.56.33

I hope you all enjoyed this post and that it wasn’t too sad! If you want similar posts like this then please give the post a little like!!

Stay happy and be yourself,

Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid eyeshadow and Slay All Day Eyeliner Review…

Hello everyone,

So its been a few days since my last blog post and I thought I would come back with a quick makeup review.

Screen Shot 2017-11-28 at 19.43.37

I have never really used many Stila makeup products except for the Slay All Day Liquid Eyeliner which is my favourite eyeliner ever. I have seen that the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid eyeshadow has quite a reputation in the beauty blogging world, so on that note I thought I would give it a go.

First thing is first, the prices and shades.

The Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid eyeshadow is priced at £23.00 and you can purchase Stila products off a range of websites including Asos. I got the shade Kitten Karma, which is a gorgeous rose gold shade. Having never tried this product before when I swatched this product I was shocked! The pigmentation was absolutely insane! It has some incredible staying power and doesn’t wipe off easily! I love the shade so much and I can’t wait to get using this, I may even buy another shade too!

Screen Shot 2017-11-28 at 19.45.36

The Stila Slay All Day Liquid Eyeliner is possibly my favourite eyeliner EVER. This liner is priced at an amazing £14.50. I got the shade Intense black, which also has an amazing pigment and stays on all day! You can grab this liner from a range of places including Asos. This liner is also waterproof and doesn’t come off no matter the weather! If you want an eyeliner that is super easy to use and create the most flawless cat eye then this is your liner!
